76th USGA U.S. Women's Open
Olympic Club in San Francisco, California
This is the first time that the Olympic Club will be hosting the US Women's Open Championship and will be the club's 11th USGA championship contested on its Lake Course.
Returning to its more traditional time slot in the golfing calendar, this year's edition promises to bring many intriguing stories into the forefront. Will A Lim Kim be the first to repeat as champion since Annika Sorenstam? Will Sorenstam use the Open qualification process to hone her golf skills in preparation for the US Senior Women's Open Championship? Much remains to be seen, but regardless, it promises to be worth watching.
