This is the LAST Major Championship of the 2020 Women's golf season.  Like the previous major events, this too, is a radical departure from the norm as so many things have been changed or altered due to the coronavirus.

​

Format:         72 - Holes, 4 - Rounds

Par:               71 

 

Yardages: 

Cypress Creek Course

     (All 4 - Rounds)

     6,731 yards / 6,155 metres

 

Jackrabbit Course

     (Rounds 1 & 2 Only)

     6,558 yards / 5,997 metres

 

Total Prize Purse:   $5.50 Million

Participants:           156 

36 Hole Cut:           reduced to low

                               60 places & ties

 

In case of ties for First Place  after 72 hole:

​

  • A 2 - Hole aggregate playoff immediately upon conclusion, if still tied, then it continues hole by hole until a winner emerges.

​

Winner Benefits

  • Mickey Wright Medal and custody of the Harton S. Semple Trophy

  • Ten - year exemption for the U.S. Women's Open Championships

  • $ 1.00 Million prize  ( only to professional players )
